Growing the next Generation

As part of the DCO’s mandate to showcase local Durban musicians and artisits, the orchestra plays it’s first school concert of 2014 at Umhlanga College on the 18th March.

The DCO will be joined by numerous ensembles and soloists from the school in pieces that include Gabriels Oboe, Timber, and Skyfall just to name a few!

The music dpeartment at Umhlanga College is thriving under numerous skilled and passionate music teachers – a situation that bodes well for the future of instrumental music in KZN.
Over 100 student musicians and singers will join the orchestra for an experience not to be forgotten by the players and the audience!
